01 Problem
Hassans International Law Firm is the most prominent legal practice in Gibraltar, but their existing website did not convey their status or personality. The design was extremely dated, cluttered, and indistinct from other corporate law firms. Their website and branding felt uninspiring.The challenge was to design a website that not only represented their professionalism but also expressed their ambition to be recognised on an international stage. The firm wanted to highlight its people and expertise, but the outdated design and poor navigation made it difficult for users to find relevant information or connect with the brand.

02 Research
I began by reviewing websites of leading firms both locally and globally. It quickly became clear that almost all competitors followed the same visual pattern and feeling overly corporate in visuals and tone of voice. This sameness created an opportunity to do something different. Stakeholder discussions revealed a desire for a website that felt more dynamic and human, showcasing not just legal excellence but the people behind it. I identified many UX problems and discovered that users primarily wanted to quickly access lawyer profiles and areas of expertise. The limited search functionality, and an old interface were contributing to high drop-off rates and poor engagement. The insights shaped a clear direction to create a more bespoke, contemporary design.

03 Solution
I created custom gradients and carefully chose imagery as visual metaphors for Gibraltar’s natural beauty and the firm’s depth of knowledge. The colour palette was modernised to convey warmth and sophistication, while typography and layout choices added clarity and confidence.The site structure was completely rethought, prioritising usability and discoverability. I introduced a clear, intuitive navigation system that allowed users to search for lawyers by name, department, or area of expertise. Every design decision was made to balance professionalism with approachability to ensure that the website not only looked distinct but also felt effortless to use.
